"When something within us is disowned, that which is disowned wreaks havoc."  --Ralph H Blum and Susan Coughan

We all carry emotional baggage to varying degrees--painful childhood memories, grief over the loss of a loved one, the devastation of a marriage or relationship break up, the trauma of physical or sexual violation.  Who hasn't suffered rejection, betrayal, hardship, failure, shame, longing, guilt, loss of self-esteem, or sorrow to some degree?

…In The Body Keeps the Score, the author  Bessel van der Kolk uses recent scientific advances to show how trauma literally reshapes both body and brain, compromising sufferers' capacities for pleasure, engagement, self-control, and trust.

As a 2005 review on chromotherapy   explains the science of color: “Light is electromagnetic radiation, which is the fluctuation of electric and magnetic fields in nature. More simply, light is energy, and the phenomenon of color is a product of the interaction of energy and matter.”

Each color has its own wavelength, frequency and quantity of energy. All colors that we can see fall on the visible spectrum of light, and they have their own electromagnetic frequencies.

Like color, our emotions also have their own vibrational structure. Emotions are simply a form of instructive energy that runs through your body like an electrical current.  Each emotion has its own measurable energy frequency that informs us.

"A wound not fully felt consumes from the inside.  We must run very hard if we want to stay one step ahead of this pain"  --Oriah Mountain Dreamer

For most, it’s easier to believe there is a way around experiencing heavy emotional burdens like anger, hurt and sorrow. As a learned behavior, we tend to avoid pain and lose nothing of the fullness and joy of living.  What I have come to realize is that it is not pain that hurts us most.  It is resistance to pain that wears us out.  We fear it, fight it, run from it, ignore it or try to bury it.

Energetically, takes a lot more force to store pain than it does to confront it.  The tension and effort of bracing shut the doors of our emotional storage vault eventually takes its toll in physical terms.

It's no wonder so many people feel tired, listless, and in pain all the time.  Sadly, when you live with low energy long enough, it begins to feel normal and you lose the memory of how to feel great.

Basic instinctive emotions such as anger and fear resonate in the same frequency range as the color red.  Anger and fear are part of your survival mechanisms.  Your tailbone/genital area, or root chakra resonates at this frequency.

Unconditional love resonates at the same frequency as ultra-violet light.  It is the highest visible frequency.  Your Thymus (located just below your throat) resonates at this frequency.

Still higher than unconditional love in frequency are the emotions of faith, gratitude, and joy.  They resonate in your pituitary area within your head.  Your pituitary is thought to be a conduit to universal energies.

Emotions in the range below the neutral line are 'negative' emotions.

These emotions flow FROM you into the world.  In conditioned bursts, these emotions can prompt you to take action to get your needs met.  But, over a long time, neuropeptides prompted by these negative emotions can cause health issues as well as impact your relationships and daily life.

Emotions in the upper frequencies are beneficial for your health and your wellbeing.  They flow THROUGH you, which means they are beneficial both for you, and the world around you.

When harnessed and fueled by Divine Consciousness, they can serve to awaken and transform deep imprints of conditioned consciousness of unresolved emotions.  Only consciousness can change consciousness patterns. That’s why its called transformation. The Divine energy evolves the negative vibrational signature by transforming it back to wholeness. In wholeness you are FREE and begin to remember your true and authentic nature as this freedom as a Divine being.

By being a conduit for Source Intelligence, Multi Dimensional Healing offers a sacred and safe space to connect with Divine Consciousness as a service for your inner journey — a conduit for universal flow to the planet.

As the electrical current of an emotion travels along your neural pathways, it triggers a release of chemical proteins called neuro-peptides (NPs).  Each emotion has its own individual frequency.  In response to each specific emotional frequency, your body releases corresponding NP's.

NP's communicate chemical messages throughout your body, creating physiological responses. ”Adrenalin, hormones, oxytoxin, endorphins--these are all examples of NPs.  Each neuro-peptide creates such specific biological responses, that physical symptoms can actually pinpoint what’s really happening on unconscious levels

For instance, happiness, joy, laughter, and orgasms cause the release of natural opiates called endorphins.  These powerful opiates make you feel good.  They boost your immune system, relax muscles, elevate your mood, and dampen pain.

Adrenalin and cortisol release when you experience fear, anxiety or stress.  They cause your heart to beat faster, and blood vessels to dilate, making your skin flush.  Rapid, shallow breathing ensues.  Muscles tighten, especially around the stomach and shoulder area.  A slight sweat may break out.

The purpose of adrenalin is to place your body in a high-alert rapid-response flight-or-flight state.  In emergencies, this is beneficial, as it aids escape.  But, over a long period, adrenalin can be very damaging to your body.  It suppresses your immune system, impairs digestion, uses up vital vitamins and minerals, causes pain and stiffness, makes your body acidic resulting in inflammation or body odor, and drains vitality.

And, as with many NP's, adrenalin is highly addictive.  Your body becomes accustomed to over-stimulation over time, and eventually needs it to maintain higher energy levels. Those who have experienced extended periods of adrenal overload, especially from childhood, such as those who grew up in homes with an achoholic or critical parent, or those who experienced physical or verbal abuse, will often unconsciously attract dramas or crises in their lives to feed their adrenalin dependancy.

Or, you may crave sugar or foods to which you are allergic, as these also stimulate the adrenal gland.

Studies have shown that negative emotions actually weaken your body, while positive emotions strengthen your body.  Shame has the most devastating effect, followed by guilt, apathy, grief, fear, anxiety, craving, anger and hate.

Since your body/mind/spirit are all connected, negative emotions reflect in your face and change the appearance of eyes, expression, skin texture, color and tension.

So, negative emotions really DO cause disease, illness and pre-mature aging!

Powerful emotions such as pain, fear, grief, disappointment, panic, anxiety, anger, and longing, shock your body like an electrical charge, causing lesions along your neural pathways.  This disrupts your body's natural energy flow.

According to Dr David Suzuki, condensed molecules from breath exhaled from verbal expressions of anger, hatred, and jealousy, contain toxins.  Accumulated over 1 hr, thes toxins are enough to kill 80 guinea pigs!

Anger damages the liver and gall bladder.  Anger toward another person is like taking poison and expecting someone else to die!

It doesn't help to hold back or deny your emotions.  The very nature of energy is movement.  When you repress or control your feelings, their energy can't flow outward properly and dissipate naturally.  You may think you have controlled how you felt, but the energy of it is still at work in your body.

Suppressing emotions uses up a lot of energy, which robs your body of energy that should be used for vital functions.  Negative emotions tax your spleen, liver and adrenal glands and use up nutrients the body needs to sustain itself.  The result is fatigue, auto-immune disorders, and lowered vitality.

Energy has to move.  If an emotion isn't expressed (outward movement), it is suppressed (inward movement).  The result of controlling or stifling emotional energy is frustration, anger, depression, physical pain, control issues, emotional 'shut-down', or self-sabotage.  Self-judgment, low self-esteem and unworthiness begin to develop.  This inhibits your ability to create or receive what you really want in life.  You learn to expect little joy in your life and settle for less than your soul needs to flourish.

Psychoneuroimmunology is the study of how emotions impact your immune system, health and well-being.  Candice Pert PhD, Louise Hay, and Bruce Lipton PhD are pioneers in this scientific field of study.

Thoughts create, not only in the sense that your thoughts motivate you to action, but also that every thought or feeling creates your state of health and well-being.

This startling new awareness has resulted in the emergence of a whole new field of medicine called 'energy-psychology'

Here's what we now know ....

  • An imbalance between your rational mind and your emotions will cause digestive upset, constipation, diarrhea or digestive disorders.  That's because your mental 'digestion' or assimilation process is mirrored by your body's physical assimilation process
  • Resentment and bitterness are like acid.  They cause inflammation and pain.  Stubborn, inflexible resentment goes to the knees, shoulders, and joints--the parts of your body that are designed to be open and flexible
  • Arthritis is bottled-up hurt
  • Cancer is a deep secret, hatred, guilt, or grief 'eating away' at you
  • Breast and uterine cancer reveals a lack of nurturing or self-nurturing in your life, or an inability to nurture others
  • Back pain reveals feeling a lack of support.  Lumbar back pain points to lack of financial support.  Thoracic back pain shows no emotional support or love.  Middle back pain is carrying the weight of the past and also reflects feeling unsupported and overwhelmed by responsibility

Negative emotions have a dense, slower vibration.  They are 'heavier', so they gravitate to the lower parts of your body.  Your legs, calves and feet store much of your trauma, resentment, jealousy, and emotional pain, both past and present

The easiest way is to join in an energetic practice that gets to the root of issues like Multi Dimensional Healing does. In online groups, workshops and personal sessions, a sacred space of emotional healing is created to meet together with Divine Intelligent Consciousness simply referred to as SOURCE for short. They do the work for you at the root of the toughest hidden emotional baggage:

  • ancestral genetics buried within your DNA
  • incarnational karmic history tied to past lives
  • the collective soup of human conditioning that influences us through our environment

Another way to clear pent-up emotions is through the feet.  Take off your shoes and walk barefoot in the grass.  Walk along a beach, especially an ocean beach or beside water falls where negative ions are released into the air by the moving water.  Niagara Falls, releases the largest concentration of negative ions on the planet!  Negative ions are healing and emotionally uplifting.   No ocean or waterfall?   Soak your feet in epsom salts and hot water or have a massage or other bodywork like a Reflexology treatment!

Smile, even if you don't feel it.  The act of smiling changes your body chemistry.  You'll suddenly feel happier!  Laughter is also a great emotional release!  Laughter releases chemical endorphins to make you feel happy and relaxed.  Try laughter Yoga!

Physical exercise, strenuous labor, or sports activities help to dissipate emotional energy and release it harmlessly.  Physical activities trigger the release of endorphins to make you feel good.  Exercise helps expel physical and emotional toxins.

Breathe deeply!  When you exert yourself, you breathe more deeply, getting added oxygen.  People who are in emotional or physical pain tend to breathe very shallow.  Your body becomes acidic when deprived of oxygen, which  reduces your ability to cope with stress.

Meditation is an ideal tool to achieve serenity and balance between your brain's left and right hemispheres.

Meditation slows your brain waves to an alpha stste of 7.8-11htz.   This provides a direct link to your subconscious mind.  It's rather like hacking into the universe's software.  Meditation directly opens you to wisdom and inspiration far beyond analytical modes.
